And all the while, history is taking notes.

Teachers says "This is our fight, we need to get it together and embrace the change" as Dr. Anthony Fauci says it is unlikely the coronavirus will ever be eradicated.

This is our fight. Many frontline educators say we need to get it together. They ask where we are going as coronavirus may be here to stay. Change, everywhere is change due to this pandemic.  Most everyone says "I want this", "I need that"or "we must have something else".  War is hell and we are at war, plowing through uncharted waters.  We look back at the 1918 pandemic but our modern day society is not the same at all. Only a few pages from the rulebook from 1918 apply to today's pandemic.

A history teacher cited John F. Kennedy's historic words, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country” and challenged every American to contribute in some way to the public good.  The teacher said it is not about "I" or "We" but it is about us.  Dr. Fauci says it is up to us, wash our hands, keep our social distance, wear a mask and stay home as much as you can.

Like it or not, we are living through history.  The story of COVID-19 and the USA is playing out right now.  Most all of us have become numb and bored with this but the virus keeps infecting people.  What are we going to do about it? How can and will we change our lives to offset this invasion? Where are we going and what will become the new norms? Our frontline educators, leaders, business, and all of us are wrestling with these questions.  And all the while, history is taking notes.  God Bless America.
